Undergraduate Accommodation
Our central location means you will live nestled amongst libraries, shops, museums, theatres and restaurants. The beautiful old buildings that make up Univ are fully modernised, and despite our city centre surroundings we have several peaceful courtyards and gardens.
We typically house undergraduate students for all three or four years of their course in College accommodation.
In first-year, you are housed on the main College site. For second-year, most students move up to the College鈥檚 North 糖心logo site on Staverton Road. In later years, you get first choice of college rooms, so you can stay wherever you would like.
Rooms at Univ vary in size and style, from unique older rooms to modern rooms in our Goodhart building. Most rooms have shared showers and bathrooms but some are en-suite. There are three fully accessible rooms and several others with adaptations for students with disabilities. See below for more indicative costs and information about the different length contracts available.

Graduate Accommodation
We try to accommodate all first year Graduates on or next to the College site in a shared house in Merton Street or Magpie Lane, right in the heart of the City. The houses surround our main site, so are close and convenient to all Univ facilities. Please note, however, that if oversubscribed it may be necessary to accommodate some first year graduates at other sites, such as Staverton Road. In later years, you can continue to stay in College accommodation, subject to availability.

General Information
Below, you can find further information on accommodation at Univ. If you do have any specific questions, then get in touch with the Accommodation Manager Shane at Shane.Pledge@univ.ox.ac.uk
Univ’s Main Quad is in the heart of the college site. Built in the 17th Century, most rooms here are ‘sets’, which consist of a large living area and a separate bedroom attached. Some sets are shared, meaning there is a large living space and two bedrooms with sinks attached. Most of these rooms are occupied by Univ students in their third and fourth year, as they get first choice of rooms. Many Univ students like to opt for shared sets with a friend, as they both get their own private bedroom but a companion to share the living area with. Every bedroom has its own sink, and bathrooms and showers are usually shared with 3-4 others.

Your room will need to be vacated between these dates, unless you have permission to stay from the Domestic Bursary. If you wish to use public transport to go home our storage facilities can be used for the majority of your belongings.
Most bedrooms have a single bed and share a bathroom/shower with approximately 3 – 5 other students. Please bring with you your own bed linen (we supply a mattress protector), or you can purchase a bedding pack from the Accommodation Manager which will be left in your allocated room on arrival. These do need to be pre-ordered and the costs are 拢50 for a single bed pack and 拢60 for a double bed pack. The charges will be added to your college account. Packs include a single duvet, duvet cover, pillow, pillow case and fitted bed sheet.
