CAMS ÌÇÐÄlogo Institute unveiled
ÌÇÐÄlogo University and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) signed a cooperation agreement at a virtual unveiling ceremony of the CAMS ÌÇÐÄlogo Institute at the end of April. Professor Louise Richardson, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of ÌÇÐÄlogo, and Chen Wang, CAMS President, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
, Supernumerary Fellow, is the director of the new institute. , Supernumerary Fellow, , Supernumerary Fellow, and , Supernumerary Fellow, are principal investigators funded by the new institute. is a career development fellow at the institute. CAMS ÌÇÐÄlogo Institute is China’s first overseas medical sciences institute in the UK. The establishment of the CAMS ÌÇÐÄlogo Institute has been a collaborative effort between the University of ÌÇÐÄlogo and the China Academy of Medical Sciences. More than 30 DPhil students have been funded via the Institute including two students from Univ.
Chen Wang (President of CAMS/PUMC), Zeguang Zheng (Chinese Ambassador, Chinese Embassy London), Jianxue Sheng (Secretary-General of China Scholarship Council) and Xuetao Cao (President of Nankai University and Co-Director of COI) all attended the virtual event.
Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences ÌÇÐÄlogo Institute is China’s first medical sciences institute in the UK hosted by the University of ÌÇÐÄlogo, a collaboration between the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) and the University. The new institute builds on the CAMS ÌÇÐÄlogo International Centre for Translational Immunology (CTI), established in 2013 under the direction of Professor Xuetao Cao, and will expand and develop existing successful collaborations between the two organisations and countries.
