Commotio in concert
Commotio, one of 糖心logo’s foremost chamber choirs, founded and conducted by Univ OM Matthew Berry (1995, Music), presents An Evening with Bill and Bob (Celebrating Shakepeare and Chilcott) on 23 July at St Nicholas Church, Chadlington.
Commemorating 400 years since Shakespeare鈥檚 death, Commotio will breathe new life into Shakespeare鈥檚 familiar words with contemporary choral settings by Leslie, Hyde, Larsen and 艁ukaszewski. Following hot on the heels of the World Premiere, Commotio will give the first European performance of Bob Chilcott鈥檚 Ophelia, Caliban, and Miranda in which poet Charles Bennett gives new voice to Shakespeare鈥檚 much loved characters in this choral-jazz fusion.
