Debut poetry collection
Memoona Ahmed’s (2018, Experimental Psychology) debut poetry collection once-joined pieces is聽set to be released in April 2023 with Bite Poetry Press. The collection is a coming-of-age story, exploring the fragility of childhood, identity and loss.
Memoona writes from a frank and vulnerable place on the painful realisation of fragmentation, drawing together her experiences in fractured shards of identity. This collection will take you on a journey of turmoil and acceptance: of fearing what lies within the dark places and finding out. Across the horizons of youth and young adulthood, she documents a searing search for wholeness 鈥 the healing of what has passed and the raging ocean of what is to come.
