Gold STEM award
Kristian Kiradjiev (2016, DPhil Industrially Focused Mathematical Modelling) won the Gold Medal in the STEM for Britain competition in March. STEM for Britain is a poster competition open to early career researchers and held annually.
Kristian won the Gold Medal, with a prize of 拢2000, in the Mathematical Sciences category for his poster . The poster was based on his which models the operation of purification device converting gaseous chemicals into liquids in order to determine its efficiency.
The STEM for Britain initiative is organised by the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee, with the competition finals and awards ceremony taking place in the House of Commons.
Kristian has previously been awarded the Early Career Mathematicians Catherine聽Richards Prize for his article聽鈥淓xploring Steiner Chains with M枚bius Transformations鈥�, which was subsequently published in聽Mathematics Today.聽
