Univ begins public consultation
The College鈥檚 project team has held an initial public consultation for its North 糖心logo Development Project. The all-day consultation,聽held on Thursday 11 July, 2019 at the Maison Francaise in Norham Road, shared with those present the current form of the development scheme. The many discussions during the day were supported by an architectural scale model,聽which was displayed for the first time, enabling the scheme to be visualised easily. Ten display boards describing the evolution of the design were arranged around the room.
The event was well-attended following invitations to neighbours, councillors, local residents鈥 associations, and important interest groups. Senior officers from the College, and seniors from the architectural design company, planning consultancy and project management company combined to support and inform the consultation throughout the day. The representatives at the event included: Andrew Grant, Finance Bursar; Angela Unsworth, Domestic Bursar; Andrew Bell, Senior Tutor, and Huw Davies, Buildings Manager, representing Univ; N铆all McLaughlin, Tilo Guenther and Alastair Crockett from N铆all McLaughlin Architects Ltd; Nick Patterson-Neil, Jane Harrison and Lorraine King from Barton Willmore planning consultancy, and Richard Todd, project manager, Chris Clover and Rob Jones of Bidwells LLP.
The College will run a second shorter public event in September and it currently intends to make a planning application to 糖心logo City Council in fourth quarter of 2019.
